Coast to Coast for St Francis' baby animals - (now with the chance to win some fantastic prizes!!)

Ben and Gemma are two of our Sunday volunteers who very kindly decided to hold a sponsored walk to raise funds for the setting up of a new nursery at the shelter. The nursery will be home to all the orphaned baby animals that we are inundated with every springtime.
Their sponsored 190 mile walk started on 24 May 2008, from Robin Hood's Bay on the East coast of Britain to St Bee's Head on the West. They were supported by a fully vegan diet throughout the walk, which they hoped to complete in 8 days, instead of the usual 2 weeks. They managed it in 7 days!
Ben and Gemma have set up their own free webpage (a facility we offer everyone wishing to hold a fundraising event for us). This enables supporters to donate securely online, and see the running total of funds raised!
