St Francis Animal Welfare regularly take in stray animals.
Any stray dogs brought in by the Dog Warden have already been advertised, for their owners to come forward. They will be brought to us for rehoming, after the required waiting period, if no one comes forward to collect them.
Any stray cats brought to the shelter are advertised locally and shown on this page. Should no one come forward to collect the stray within two weeks of their arrival, it will then be made available for rehoming to a suitable new home.
Any animals arriving at the shelter are all checked for microchip identification, as well as given a health check and any treatment they may require.
We also list on this page any Lost animals that are reported to us.
If you have lost a pet, please call us at the shelter and give us a good description and when/where you last saw it. We will place details here on this page as soon as possible. You may also send a photo and description of your lost pet to us, by emailing lost@sfaw.co.uk, and they will be placed on this page. We only ask that you inform us as soon as your pet has been found safe and sound. Unless otherwise informed, we will remove details of Lost animals on this page after a three month period (although details are still kept at the shelter).
If you have seen or know the whereabouts of any of the Lost animals, please contact us, and we will pass details on to their owners.
