St Francis Animal Welfare regularly take in cats, which have become homeless for various reasons - some are brought in as strays, others may have lost an owner due to relocation, or even death. They are all cared for and loved during their stay with us, and our staff and volunteers take time to sit with them and offer them the human company they may have been used to. We do our best to assess each individual cat's personality during its stay with us.
Please note that all strays are checked for microchips. Also, cats that have arrived in pairs must be adopted together, as they rely on each other for company.
As well as cat pens, the shelter has a separate Cat and Kitten unit, offering extra warmth and comfort for new mothers and their litters. This is well used during kitten season.
See below for all our cats currently available for adoption. Click on names for more details.
